The future of work is changing. Within 20 years, 47 percent of all jobs are likely to be replaced by technology which means the emergence of new jobs requiring different skills. Are we ready as a Region? As Employers? As Employees?
Please join us as Ms. Heishman takes us on a thought provoking journey into the new world of work and how it may impact the employability of many Central Iowans unless we start preparing today. We will also unveil the Greater Des Moines 2016 Laborshed Analysis – A Study of Workforce Characteristics, which Ms. Heishman will use to set the stage for our region’s impending challenges and opportunities relating to our future talent pipeline.
