Event Description:
The Des Moines Committee on Foreign Relations is pleased to announce the fourth evening in our 2018-2019 Speakers Series on Tuesday, December 18th with our special guest Laura Kupe, Policy Analyst with the Rand Corporation. She will speak about the relationship between Australia, New Zealand, and the United States as it relates to National Security. Ms. Kupe recently served as a special assistant with the Department of Homeland Security, and for Congressman Karen Bass, Ranking Member of the Africa Subcommittee on the House Foreign Affairs Committee.
The meeting will be held at the Wakonda Club 3915 Fleur Drive, with a meet-and-greet speaker's reception from 5:30pm-6:15pm, during which time heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served. Ms. Kupe will begin her presentation at 6:15pm, and a question and answer session will be held immediately after. Tickets are $25 for members and guests - with special student discounts available.
