Event Description:
The Des Moines Committee on Foreign Relations is pleased to announce the fifth evening in our 2018-2019  Speakers Series on Tuesday, January 29th with our special guest Dr. Robert Farley, visiting Professor at the US Army War College.  Dr. Farley has also taught security and diplomacy courses at the Patterson School of Diplomacy and International Commerce at the University of Kentucky.  At the university, he has taught courses on a wide-range of subjects, including Asian Politics and Security, Counter-Insurgency, European Security, US-China Foreign Relations and International Conflict.

The meeting will be held at the Wakonda Club 3915 Fleur Drive, with a meet-and-greet speaker's reception from 5:30pm-6:15pm, during which time heavy hors d’oeuvres will be served.  Dr. Farley will begin his presentation at 6:15pm, and a question and answer session will be held immediately after.  Tickets are $25 for members and guests - with special student discounts available.
