The Greater Des Moines Partnership is excited to team up with the Iowa Women's Business Center to bring you First Fridays! The goal of First Fridays is for the aspiring entrepreneurs and the people of Greater Des Moines (DSM) to hear from business owners and entrepreneurs who have helped shape the communities in which we live. The speakers are makers, store owners, movers and shakers, creators of regional or national brands, and all have stories that are uniquely their own.
Ying Sa is the Founder and Principal Certified Public Accountant at Community CPA & Associates, Inc. A native of China and former resident of Canada, Ying served five years as Vice President of Controllers for Wells Fargo Financial Inc. in Des Moines, Iowa, and six years as the Chief Financial Officer for the Iowa Manufacturing Extension Partnership at Iowa State University.
Ying was recently featured in Thomson Reuter’s Solutions Magazine in 2017 for leading such a successful and dynamic CPA Firm with global interest speaking nine different languages and serving more than 7,000 clients worldwide. Ying has been honored with many awards for her volunteerism, entrepreneurial, and community spirit, including Iowa Volunteer Hall of Fame, Small Business of the Year and Iowa Minority Small Business Champion of the Year.
As a successful immigrant woman with broad corporate and business experience, Ying masterfully blends her unique life experiences and perspectives into her own professional work and her service to clients.
