The Greater Des Moines Partnership is excited to team up with the Iowa Women's Business Center to bring you First Fridays! The goal of First Fridays is for the aspiring entrepreneurs and the people of Greater Des Moines (DSM) to hear from business owners and entrepreneurs who have helped shape the communities in which we live. The speakers are makers, store owners, movers and shakers, creators of regional or national brands, and all have stories that are uniquely their own.
Chris Singleton is a native of DSM, growing up in the Highland Park neighborhood. Over the last 30 years, Singleton has worked in optical boutiques and private practices where she has honed her skills to created a superior level of service and product knowledge. After 20+ years in management and training she went back to her service-based roots to work directly with clients — this is where she fell in love with being an optician all over again.
Singleton opened Total Eyewear Gallery in November 2018 because she saw the need for individualized attention. She gets to know people, their lifestyle and their needs so she can help them create their own unique eyewear style. Her gallery provides a fun non-clinical approach that inspires creativity while providing quality eyewear on any budget.
She believes your eyewear is a true reflection of your identity and your personality which is why her motto is "We help you, do YOU."
