Seize the City Kickoff
Seize the City is a series of free events for interns spending their summer in Greater Des Moines. The series contains various networking events designed to engage summer interns with business and community leaders, young professionals and other interns while incorporating exposure to many of the quality of life amenities and professional development opportunities in the region.
Interns that participate in three or more events in the series will receive a “Mastery of Community Leadership Certificate” upon completion.
The Seize the City Kickoff Event will be held on Wednesday, May 31 from 5 – 7 p.m. at University of Iowa Center for Higher Education. The event will be a reception-type event with a brief program around 5:45 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided!
Other details -
Attire: The attire for this event is business casual, or whatever you would wear to work. This goes for all events in the series. Most interns come to these events straight from work.
*Please note: Contrary to the venue title, we will NOT be skating, so your ankles are spared J
Signing in: Be sure to sign in upon entrance to this event and all events in the series. All interns who attend 3 or more events in the series are eligible for the Master of Community Leadership certificate. You’ll also be entered for a door prize when you sign in.
