Event Description:
The Greater Des Moines partnership is excited to team up with the Iowa Women's Business Center to bring you First Fridays! The goal of First Fridays is for the aspiring entrepreneurs and the people of Des Moines to hear from business owners and entrepreneurs who have helped shape the communities in which we live. The speakers are makers, store owners, movers and shakers, creators of regional or national brands, and all have stories that are uniquely their own.
Leng Vong Reiff, President of Akili Design, will be the speaker on July 7th. Leng has run her own marketing business since September of 2007. Akili Design and Marketing Services provides services such as web design and SEO, graphic design, and traditional marketing services to a variety of clients. Along with her experience in online marketing, she is skilled at managing budgets, timelines, and event planning so that her clients execute their goals while simultaneously creating smooth project coordination.
Leng graduated from ISU with a degree in design and in journalism/advertising with minors in art history and Spanish. In addition, Leng has won multiple prestigious awards such as American Marketing NOVA Awards, a national PPFA Award, ADDY Awards and ADIA Awards. She was honored with CityView Magazine’s Best of Des Moines – Top 3, Best Marketing Agencies – for 3 years running.
